The Found Gen, LLC (“TFG,” “we,” “us”) runs thefoundgen.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it simple: we collect what we need to answer your questions, send the emails you ask for, and understand how people use our site. We don’t sell your information.
Information you give us
Contact form
When you reach out through our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, company, website, the services you’re interested in, and anything you tell us about your project. We use it to reply to you, prepare for a consultation, and keep a record of our conversation.
Newsletter signup
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. Our newsletter is sent through Mailchimp, which stores your address and tells us things like whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
Booking a consultation
If you book a call through our scheduling link, the booking is handled by Google Calendar, which collects the name, email and any notes you provide so we can confirm the appointment.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay and how you found us. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to see this information in aggregate, so we can understand what’s working on our site and improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks whether a visitor is a person or a bot. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page loads.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to keep the site working properly and, through Google Analytics, to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations
- To send newsletters and updates you’ve signed up for
- To understand how visitors use our site and improve it
- To protect our site from spam and abuse
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include WP Engine (website hosting), Google (analytics, reCAPTCHA, fonts and calendar booking), Mailchimp (newsletter delivery) and WPForms (our contact form). We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages and client correspondence for as long as we need them to work with you and keep accurate business records. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics’ retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, email us at info@thefoundgen.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection on every page. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Our site is meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links to client websites, social media and other resources. We aren’t responsible for how those sites handle your information, so we recommend reading their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
